Stoodley Knowle School's enviable reputation for excellence extends to these precious formative pre-school years. Qualified and experienced staff monitor the development of each pupil and the friendly, nurturing environment of the nursery provides the best possible start to your daughter's education.
Strong emphasis is placed on the well-being and happiness of all children and we aim to encourage self-esteem, confidence and independence. The experiences provided for each individual pupil are stimulating and challenging, allowing for every aspect of development and natural progression through the various strands of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
The Early Years children are able to enjoy the extensive facilities of the whole school, including its wonderful grounds, and, in some subjects, are taught by specialist staff from both the Preparatory and Senior Schools. Close co-operation between staff prepares the children for an ideal transition to preparatory school life.
Times of day are flexible to allow part time or full time attendance, with or without lunch. For the benefit of working parents there are pre-school and after school sessions, which we hope will accommodate the needs of all our parents. Uniform is minimal and available from school.
Government funding is available for six sessions a week, covering 15 hours of curriculum education. At Stoodley these sessions are accessed over five mornings and one afternoon. The afternoon session can be taken on an afternoon that does not incur any extra costs for extracurricular activities.
